Summit neighborhood mural
I am very excited to be working with Community Building Partnership to use art to help revitalize neighborhoods. Here is a mock up of the mural design superimposed on the wall that is to be painted soon. The explanation of the design is in the post below.
Art has become a meaningful way for me to process and explore the complexities of life in tandem with living it. I am committed to creating and exhibiting my artwork, which has been exhibited in various regional and national venues. My current work incorporates my photography into a variety of different media. I often integrate layers into my work to create juxtapositions conveying visual and conceptual depth. Recurring themes in my work include the transience of life in time, as well as exploring diverse natural, cultural, and architectural spaces. As a result, I find travel to be amazingly inspiring as it offers me the opportunity to find new imagery and metaphors for my work.
